Dynamic Filtering is another big feature of the Lobster application.The reason it is called 'Dynamic Filtering' because the color,filter,image and text get applied dynamically[in real time].User can actually see the filter being applied to the image as the user drags the mouse or clicks the mouse on the image.User is expected to know the 'Interface' of the Lobster application properly to use the Dynamic Filtering.Dynamic Filtering actually facilitated to the user thru three panels in the Lobster application viz.,Dynamic Filtering Panel,Drawing Panel and Brush Panel.

Users will not even find some of the features of Lobster Version 1.0 in the other image editors. Macros is another big feature of the Lobster application. Macros are slightly different in the way they appear and get executed in the Lobster application. In some softwares, they are just invoked thru a shortcut key while in others they appear in a combobox. On the contrary, Lobster application adds the macros to the 'Macros' menu with each macro going in its respective cascading menu. For e.g :- If the macro was created with 'Xoring' filter, then the macro will appear in the 'Xoring' cascading menu of the 'Macros' menu.
