Linear Gradient

It is strongly recommended that the user reads about the 'Gradient' feature before reading this page.

Linear Gradient :- 'Linear Gradient' are the gradients where the one color changes to another color either horizontally or vertically on the image canvas. There are four kinds of 'Linear Gradient' which are 'Left to Right Gradient','Right to Left Gradient','Top to Bottom Gradient' and 'Bottom to Top Gradient'.The most important thing is that 'Left to Right Gradient' will not be called 'Linear Gradient - Left to Right Gradient',so the user should be aware of the different types of 'Linear Gradients'.

First of all, let's start will the 'Pure Color Gradient' and following snapshot shows the Gradient where the Green color changes to Red color showing all the shades in between the Green color to Red color.User can also see the 'Gradient Type Sub Tab' of 'Gradients Tab' of the 'Pure Color Gradient Dialogbox' where the 'Bottom to Top Gradient' is selected.

Following snapshot shows the 'Left to Right Gradient' applied to the image canvas using the 'Add Noise' filter.QRGB settings are [r=0,g=0,b=0] in the 'QRGB Sub Tab' of the 'Filter Tab' of the 'Linear Gradient Dialogbox' and therefore the 'Left to Right Gradient' will always turns from the 'Darker Pixels' to the 'Brighter Pixels' no matter which the filter chosen by the user.User can see the 'Darker Pixels' starting from the left side and turning brighter as the gradient moves from left to right side.

Following snapshot shows the 'Right to Left Gradient' applied to the image canvas using the 'Charcoal 1' filter.QRGB settings are [r=255,g=0,b=0] in the 'QRGB Sub Tab' of the 'Filter Tab' of the 'Linear Gradient Dialogbox' and therefore the 'Left to Right Gradient' will always turns from the 'Red Pixels' to the 'White Pixels' starting from the left of the image and moving towards the right of the image canvas.

Following snapshot shows the 'Top to Bottom Gradient' applied to the image canvas using the 'Sketch 2' filter.QRGB settings are [r=0,g=255,b=0] in the 'QRGB Sub Tab' of the 'Filter Tab' of the 'Linear Gradient Dialogbox' and therefore the 'Top to Bottom Gradient' will always turns from the 'Green Pixels' to the 'White Pixels' starting from the top of the image and moving towards the bottom of the image canvas.

Following snapshot shows the 'Bottom to Top Gradient' applied to the image canvas using the 'Shifted Brown' filter.QRGB settings are [r=0,g=0,b=255] in the 'QRGB Sub Tab' of the 'Filter Tab' of the 'Linear Gradient Dialogbox' and therefore the 'Bottom to Right Gradient' will always turns from the 'Blue' to the 'White Pixels' starting from the bottom of the image and moving towards the top of the image canvas.
